Traditional methods such as surface treatment, thermal spraying, and brushing can be used, but they come with certain drawbacks. For instance, the thermal stress from the high temperature of repair welding cannot be fully eliminated, potentially damaging the raw materials and causing the component to crack or bend. Brush plating is limited by the coating thickness and is susceptible to peeling off. Both methods involve using metal to repair metal, which doesn’t alter the “hard” relationship.
